McDuffie County and Thomson Seek Bids for 2026 Road Resurfacing Work

A new resurfacing and striping project is planned for various roads in McDuffie County and Thomson. Contractor bids are due September 23 at 2 p.m.

McDuffie County and the City of Thomson are preparing for another round of local road improvements, with contractors now being invited to bid on resurfacing and striping work on various roads. The joint invitation to bid was posted August 24 and calls for sealed bids to be submitted to the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners office at 210 Railroad Street in Thomson by 2 p.m. September 23, 2026. The project includes resurfacing and striping on roads in both McDuffie County and the City of Thomson. Bids will be publicly opened after the submission deadline. Questions about the bidding documents are due by September 16. CSRA Local will follow the project as contracts are awarded and specific road-work schedules become available.
