Augusta Regional Airport Closes Long-Term Lot A for Three-Month Parking Project

Augusta Regional Airport has temporarily closed Long-Term Parking Lot A for a rehabilitation and expansion project expected to last about three months, reducing primary parking capacity by roughly 350 spaces during construction.

What you need to know

Long-Term Lot A: Temporarily closed Expected duration: About three months Temporary capacity reduction: About 350 spaces Still open: Long-term Lots B and C, short-term Lot D and credit-card lot Overflow parking: Available when primary lots fill Traveler advice: Arrive earlier and follow airport parking signage
Travelers using Augusta Regional Airport should allow extra time for parking while a major parking project is underway. Long-Term Parking Lot A is closed for approximately three months for rehabilitation work. Augusta officials say the closure temporarily reduces the airport’s primary parking capacity by about 350 spaces. Long-term Lots B and C, short-term Lot D and the credit-card lot remain available. If those primary lots fill, the airport has designated temporary overflow parking areas on airport property. Signs will direct travelers to those areas, and customers using the temporary overflow lots will pay by scanning posted QR codes. The airport says overflow parking will be offered at a discounted rate. The project is expected to add 50 spaces when this phase is complete. Airport officials say additional parking improvements are planned, with approximately 250 public parking spaces expected to be added over the next two years. Passengers are encouraged to plan extra time before flights and may also consider drop-off, rideshare, taxis or shuttle service during construction. Vehicles left in unauthorized areas may be relocated or towed.

What’s next

CSRA Local should recheck the airport/city announcement in early September and periodically during the project for parking changes, reopening information or updated completion timing.
